Bespoke Wood Flooring and Joinery, Fulham – Chapter One

Here at Blueridge we love a challenge, and this bespoke storage unit for a home in Fulham is one of our current exciting projects.

We fitted the Artisan White flooring to the basement earlier this year and the client was looking for a functional yet beautiful storage solution.  The existing basement wall provided challenges in that, as you find in most period properties, it wasn’t flat.

The solution came from one of our favourite designers, Sam Watkins McRae who designed an installation that incorporates some of the existing fixtures and fits perfectly around the radiators.

The storage unit has been made in our workshops from moisture resistant MDF and is currently wearing the first coat of Mylands paint.  It is currently being painstakingly prepared for the final coats and will soon be finished in two of Mylands‘ bespoke colours.

It will be downlit with strip LEDs from the top and the centre bank of drawers feature Hafele liquid soft close runners.

We’ll be posting again once the joinery is insitu.  We can’t wait to see the finished installation in place!
